12F614 - 3Ø Solid Dielectric Recloser, Bi-Directional

Note: This standard has been updated with a fiberglass crossarm but the drawing has yet to be updated.

Notes:

  1. Min. 50 ft. pole required for installation on joint pole.
  2. New reclosers will include two control transformers and a transfer switch inside the control panel. Refer to Compatible Unit BA10B.
  3. Two wedge connectors per switch are required to install line tap switches. Appropriate wedge connector size is listed in Compatible Unit D0520.
  4. Important — disconnect and bypass switches must be accessible to a service truck. Refer to T&D Guideline 4-2-1.1 for equipment accessibility criteria.
  5. Unless specified by Planning and Protection, install the DA antenna, conduit, and coax. If the radio box is not present, coil the coax near the control panel. Seal the end of the coax cable with aqua seal and "88" tape. Refer to Compatible Unit J0401 for more information.
  6. Telecom & System Protection will determine and assign the type of antenna to install. See Compatible Unit J0401 & J0402 for additional information.
