12F610 - 3Ø Protective Device Installation In-Line

Note: This standard has been updated with a fiberglass crossarm but the drawing has yet to be updated.
Note: Control box assemblies and hardware will only be used on type "WE" reclosers.
- This assembly is intended for use with 3Ø reclosers and sectionalizers. Engineer must specify compatible unit for desired protective device.
- When installing 400A and 600A Joslyn VBM sectionalizers, increase spacing from crossarm to top equipment bolt to 5’ and crossarm to neutral to 9’.
- Install 90° terminal lugs (item X) on the load side of the disconnect switches feeding the protective device.
- Control box assemblies and hardware will only be used on type "WE" reclosers.
- Drill holes as required to obtain above arm spacing.
- Drill holes as required to obtain arm spacing shown below. Treat holes with copper napthenate solution (MID 442228) per T&D Guideline No. 4-5-16.0.
