12F609 - 3Ø Protective Device Installation on 3Ø Underground Termination Pole

Note: This standard has been updated with a fiberglass crossarm but the drawing has yet to be updated.

 

Notes:

  1. This assembly is intended for use with 3Ø reclosers and sectionalizers. Engineer must specify the Compatible Unit for desired protective device.
  2. Important — connect control transformer to source side! Control transformer is internally fused and does not require a cutout.
  3. Install 90° terminal lugs (Compatible Unit T0704) on the load side of the disconnect switches feeding the protective device.

Notes:

  1. N.O. = Normally Open
    N.C. = Normally Closed
  2. Drill holes as required to obtain arm spacing shown above. Treat holes with copper naphthenate solution (MID 442228)
