Note:

1. This arrester is for primary riser pole and overhead equipment applications on the District’s 12470 Grd-Y/7200 volt distribution system.
2. The arrester housing is made of a non-fragmenting polymeric material.
3. The arrester is provided without a crossarm hanger bracket. If this bracket is required refer to Compatible Unit R0102.
4. When installing arresters on #2 and 1/0 15kV cable risers, use a Cu C-crimp connector (Compatible Unit Z0701, MID 211508, #4 - #4 Cu) to connect the #4 solid Cu line side arrester lead to the #4 solid Cu low side cutout lead. Reference Assembly 12U111.
5. When installing arresters on 350, 1000 and 1100 kcmil 15kV cable risers, use a hot line clamp (Compatible Unit Z0102, MID 215261, 336.4 kcmil AAC line to #4 Cu tap) to connect the #4 solid Cu line side arrester lead to the 336.4 kcmil AAC low side lead of the disconnecting device. Reference Assembly 12U314.
6. Use a Cu C-crimp connector (Compatible Unit Z0702, MID 211516, #2 - #4 Cu) to connect the #4 fine stranded Cu lead on the low side of the arrester to #4 solid Cu ground wire
