Notes:
- This standard addresses installation of Landis & Gyr (formerly known as Cellnet) wireless metering facilities in District supply space. All work in the supply space will be performed by District crews or pre-qualified overhead line contractors. Landis & Gyr will provide the communications enclosure, MCC unit, antennas, coax, 90° 2” sweeps, aluminum bracket, power cord and connectors.
- Landis & Gyr metering facilities require 120/240 volt service. If a transformer is not available on the Landis & Gyr installation pole, then triplex service wire must be run from an adjacent service location. Refer to Compatible Units C0300 and C0301.
- The Landis & Gyr communications enclosure must be bonded. If no ground is present, install a #4 bare SD solid copper bond wire (MID 848476) from the communications enclosure to the system neutral.
- Contact the Joint Use department a minimum of 3 days before relocation of unit in order to coordinate with the proper Landis & Gyr representative.
