G0109-10 - OBSOLETE! 3/8" & 1/2" Down Guy, Porcelain Guy Strain Insulator, 1 Bolt/2 Lag Mounting

Notes:

  1. This is an alternate to Compatible Units G0103 and G0103A for situations where a second machine bolt cannot be installed because of short guy leads or pole splitting.
  2. Do not use this construction in locations where the angle of the guy wire with respect to the pole exceeds 45°.
  3. Use Compatible Unit G0109 for guy tensions between 4,001 lb and 8,299 lb. Use Compatible Unit G0110 for guy tensions between 8,300 lb and 14,497 lb.
  4. When installing parallel guys, use Compatible Unit G0113 or G0114 for the uppermost guy to prevent strain insulator breakage and grounding of the guy hardware.
  5. Bolt spacing on multiple guys should not be closer than 6”. Use split bolts (R1115) if two guys are placed within any 2’ pole section in the same vertical plane.
