1. Scope
This specification applies to insulated aluminum compression sleeves used in non-tension splicing of aluminum to aluminum or aluminum to copper conductors.

3. Construction
Insulated compression sleeves shall be manufactured from high-conductivity aluminum with an extruded insulating nylon jacket and a solid center stop. Each connector shall be factory filled with an oxide inhibiting compound and sealed with permanently attached polyethylene end caps. Refer to the table below for allowable connector dimensions, color codes and die requirements. Each connector must be permanently marked with conductor size, color code, die numbers, number f crimps, manufacturer's name or trademark and catalog number.
