- Conductor insulating covers protect against phase-to-phase and phase-to-ground wildlife contacts between energized jumpers, leads, equipment terminals and ground on 12470 Grounded Y/7200 volt distribution systems. The covers are pre-slit for field installation over conductors. They must be field cut to the needed length.
Refer to Compatible Unit Section C for conductor O.D.’s for conductor sizes not listed in the above table. - If it is necessary to hold covers in place, their ends should be secured by applying 2 or more wraps of silicone rubber tape (Compatible Unit I0456 - MID 819112) using minimum wrapping tension.
