- These indicators are specifically for use at the Young's Creek Hydro Project.
- Refer to T&D Guideline 4-11-20.0 for fault indicator application guidelines.
- The LED in a directional fault indicator will flash either red or green, depending on the direction of the fault current.
- Load-tracking fault indicators shift their time-current curve to a level appropriate for the load and do not rely on specific current levels to operate.
- To help minimize the time required for field personnel to locate fault indicators, pad-mounted equipment and vaults that contain fault indicators are to be labeled. Refer to Compatible Unit W0135-W0136 for required fault indicator signage.
- Pad-mounted equipment may be equipped with external fiber optic indicator lights, District MID 1001522 (1Ø fiber optic) or 1001523 (3Ø fiber optic).
