1. Scope

This specification applies to the fl at-surfaced polyethylene sign illustrated above. This label will be used outdoors on pressure treated wood poles.

2. Size

Labels shall be 3" tall x 7" wide.

3. Color

The sign shall have black text on a yellow background. The yellow color shall be Panatone 108 CV or equivalent.

4. Material

Labels shall be made of durable, weather-resistant, UV-resistant, 0.055" thick polyethylene, rigid yet fl exible enough to be nailed to a wood pole.

5. Outdoor Durability

Five years minimum, with exterior exposure.

6. Solvent Resistance

Resistant to degradation by petroleum solvents and greases.

7. Storage Stability

Ten years minimum under normal storage conditions (75° F, 50% relative humidity). Material must be mildew resistant.

8. Identification

The manufacturer's name or logo and the date of production shall be clearly marked along the bottom left edge of each sign. Cat. ID No. 890716 shall be printed on the bottom right edge of each sign.

9. Packaging

Signs shall be packaged in Zip-Lock type, resealable polyethylene bags (25 signs per bag).
