1. Scope

This specification applies to aluminum card holders designed to provide a convenient holder for placing a District Master Safety Card (District Material ID 1000219) on switch poles and on other apparatus poles that are used for switching.

2. Material ID Number

This specification applies to the following District Material ID 890435.

2. Reference Standards

Except as modified herein, these card holders shall meet the applicable material requirements of the latest revision of ASTM B209, Standard Specification for Aluminum and Aluminum-Alloy Sheet and Plate.

4. Construction

Master safety card holders shall be manufactured from 20 gauge aluminum sheet (minimum) and shall be dimensioned as shown. All sharp edges and corners shall be removed. Alternative non-corrosive materials may be acceptable with prior District approval.
