1. Scope

This specification applies to flat-surfaced, maintenance information decals as illustrated. These cards shall be designed for outdoor application attached to utility equipment or other objects. Each decal shall be produced to allow information to be written on the face of the decal with all of the following instruments: pencil, ballpoint pen and waterproof marker.

2. Material and Tag Requirements

The tag material shall be 15mil White Vinyl Matte/Matte with 3M 9505 Stamark Adhesive on the back. The tag and preprinted text shall not be damaged by electrical joint compound, silicone lubricant, transformer oil, water and temperatures in the range of 0° - 200° F. The table rows of the maintenance record shall have a minimum row height of 16 points.

3. Size

Cards shall be 5" high x 3" wide, with a tolerance of +/- 1/32".

4. Color

The face material of the card shall be UV resistant Pantone 107C Yellow. The District logo and text shall be UV resistant black copy.

5. Material ID Number and Identification

This specification applies to the following District Material ID Number: 1003797, to be marked in the upper right hand corner of the card with all other required information placed in the upper left hand corner as shown.
