1. Scope

This specification applies to flat-surfaced tear-resistant tags as illustrated above. These tags shall be designed for application on various water devices.

2. Size

Tags shall be 4-3/4" high x 5-1/2" wide. Tag shall have a 7/8" high x 1-1/4" wide tab with a 5/8" hole as shown above.

3. Font

Copy legend shall be Helvetica-Narrow Bold.

4. Color

Two colors, UV resistant Pantone 340 C copy with UV resistant overprint clear, or District approved equivalent.

5. Material

Tags shall be made of 0.023" matte white polyblend or District approved equivalent.

6. Outdoor Durability

Three years minimum, with vertical exterior exposure.

7. Packaging

Tags shall be packaged to protect them from moisture and dirt in Zip-Lock type resealable, clear polyethylene bags (25 labels per bag).

8. Identification

Each bag shall be marked with the manufacturer's name or logo and the date of production.
