1. Scope

This specification applies to District Material ID's 1001946 substation decals as illustrated.

2. Material and Decal Requirements

Refer to District Material Standard DECALMAT5.

3. Size

Decal shall be 8-1/2" wide x 11" high.

4. Color

The decal shall be three colors, all colors shall be UV resistant, on 3M 7300 sheeting. The signal word panel shall have black letters on a transparent safety orange background with a transparent safety orange exclamation mark. Text copy "HAZARDOUS VOLTAGE INSIDE" and "KEEP OUT" shall be transparent safety red. All remaining text copy and symbols shall be in black.

5. Identification Instructions

The manufacturer’s name or logo and the date of production shall be clearly marked along the bottom left edge of each decal. The District's Material ID number shall be clearly marked along the bottom right edge of each decal. Markings shall be in a small legible font so as not to detract from the sign's message. Refer to the illustration for the required locations for those markings.
