1. Scope

This specification applies to the steel T-handle lid lifting hook tool with dimensions as shown in the drawing below. The tool is for use in lifting grates and handhole lids that feature a lid lift pin crevice. The end of the shaft is angled to allow for easy insertion into a lid lift pin crevice.

2. Reference Standard

The T-handle lid lifting hook tool shall meet the applicable provisions of the latest revision of the following standard:

ASTM A36 Standard Specification for Carbon Structural Steel

3. Material ID Number

This specification applies to District Material ID Number 1002830.

4. Material

The T-handle lid lifting hook tool shall be made of steel with a protective clear glossy finish coating, i.e., Rust-Oleum Crystal Clear Enamel or equivalent.
