1. Scope

This material standard applies to end-of-arm brackets used for deadending a single conductor on the end of a crossarm.

2. Material ID Number

This material standard applies to Material ID number 876675.

3. Reference Standards

Unless otherwise stated in this material standard, the brackets shall comply with the latest revisions of the following standards (either ASTM A36 or ASTM A283):

ASTM A36 - Standard Specification for Carbon Structural Steel
ASTM A283 - Standard Specification for Low and Intermediate Tensile Strength Carbon Steel Plates
ASTM A123 -Standard Specification for Zinc (Hot Dip Galvanized) Coating on Iron and Steel Products

4. Construction

End-of-arm brackets shall be:

  1. Fabricated of steel plate meeting the requirements of ASTM A36 or A283
  2. Free of sharp edges, burrs, cracks or other imperfections
  3. Hot-dip galvanized per ASTM A123

End-of-arm brackets shall be dimensioned per the following drawing:

6. Packaging

End-of-arm brackets shall be packaged in heavy duty boxes in quantities of 20 per box.
