1. Scope
This specification applies to 1-piece dome top low-density polyethylene (LDPE) guard post/bollard covers as illustrated.
2. Material
Covers shall be made of 1/4" thick LDPE with ultra-violet and anti-static additives.
3. Size
Covers shall have an ID of 6-7/8", sized to fit over pipe with a 6" nominal diameter (6-5/8" OD). Covers shall have a height of 52", plus a 3" high dome top.
4. Colors
Cover colors shall be as specified by the District when an order is placed:

5. Installation Tape
The tape used to secure the cover to the pipe shall be a neoprene adhesive type. Enough neoprene tape shall be provided to fully wrap around 6" nominal diameter pipe in at least 2 locations, near the top and bottom of the cover. Overlapping the tape is acceptable to enable the cover to fit snug and to prevent its easy removal.
6. Packaging
Each cover shall come individually packaged in its own plastic bag with installation instructions and installation tape. The plastic bag shall be tied shut or otherwise secured to prevent the instructions and installation tape from falling out.
7. Shipping
Covers, packaged as described above, can be shipped in individual boxes or with a maximum of 4 covers per box.
