1. Scope

This material standard covers the general requirements for manufacturing and supplying all of the District's Flame-Resistant (FR) Pants.

2. Reference Standards

Where applicable and unless otherwise stated in this specification, garments shall comply with the latest revision of District Material Standard FRCLOTHMAT.

3. FR Denim Pant

3.1 Material

All materials used shall meet NFPA 70E standard, latest revision. All thread used shall be FR rated. All closures, zippers, tapes, draw cords, snaps and buttons used shall be FR rated and arc-resistant.

3.2 Ratings

Denim Pants shall have a minimum rating of HRC-2 and an Arc Thermal Performance Value (ATPV) of at least 15.2 cal/cm².

3.3 District Catalog Identification Numbers

4. FR Non-Denim Pant

4.1 Material

All materials used shall meet NFPA 70E standard, latest revision. All thread used shall be FR rated. All closures, zippers, tapes, draw cords, snaps and buttons used shall be FR rated and arc-resistant.

4.2 Rating

Non-Denim Pants shall have a minimum rating of HRC-2 and an Arc Thermal Performance Value (ATPV) of at least 9.8 cal/cm².
