1. Scope
This material standard covers the general requirements for manufacturing and supplying all of the District's Flame-Resistant (FR) Sweatshirts.
2. Reference Standards
Where applicable and unless otherwise stated in this specification, garments shall comply with the latest revision of District Material Standard FRCLOTHMAT.
3. FR Shirt Jacket Sweatshirt
3.1 Material
All materials used shall meet NFPA 70E standard, latest revision. All thread used shall be FR rated. All closures, zippers, tapes, draw cords, snaps and buttons used shall be FR rated and arc-resistant. Material shall be water and wind resistant.
3.2 Construction
Shirt Jackets shall have an inner lining, include a shirt style collar, and a full-zip design.
3.3 Ratings
Shirt Jackets shall have a minimum rating of HRC-3 and an Arc Thermal Performance Value (ATPV) of at least 33 cal/cm².

4. FR 1/4-Zip Sweatshirt
4.1 Material
All materials used shall meet NFPA 70E standard, latest revision. All thread used shall be FR rated. All closures, zippers, tapes, draw cords, snaps and buttons used shall be FR rated and arc-resistant. Material shall be water and wind resistant.
4.2 Construction
1/4-Zip Sweatshirts shall include a stand-up style collar and 1/4-zip design.
4.3 Ratings
1/4-Zip Sweatshirts shall have a minimum rating of HRC-2 and an Arc Thermal Performance Value (ATPV) of at least 15 cal/cm².

5. FR Zip-Up Hooded Sweatshirt
5.1 Material
All materials used shall meet NFPA 70E standard, latest revision. All thread used shall be FR rated. All closures, zippers, tapes, draw cords, snaps and buttons used shall be FR rated and arc-resistant. Material shall be water and wind resistant.
5.2 Construction
Zip-Up Hooded Sweatshirts shall have a full-zip, with an oversized hood designed to fit over a hardhat.
5.3 Ratings
Zip-Up Hooded Sweatshirts shall have a minimum rating of HRC-2 and an Arc Thermal Performance Value (ATPV) of at least 17 cal/cm².

6. FR Pullover Hooded Sweatshirt
6.1 Material
All materials used shall meet NFPA 70E standard, latest revision. All thread used shall be FR rated. All closures, zippers, tapes, draw cords, snaps and buttons used shall be FR rated and arc-resistant. Material shall be water and wind resistant.
6.2 Construction
Pullover Hooded Sweatshirts shall have an oversized hood designed to fit over a hardhat.
6.3 Ratings
Pullover Hooded Sweatshirts shall have a minimum rating of HRC-2 and an Arc Thermal Performance Value (ATPV) of at least 16 cal/cm².

7. FR Crew-Neck Sweatshirt
7.1 Material
All materials used shall meet NFPA 70E standard, latest revision. All thread used shall be FR rated. All closures, zippers, tapes, draw cords, snaps and buttons used shall be FR rated and arc-resistant. Material shall be water and wind resistant.
7.2 Construction
Crew-Neck Sweatshirts shall have a crew-neck design.
7.3 Ratings
Crew-Neck Sweatshirts shall have a minimum rating of HRC-2 and an Arc Thermal Performance Value (ATPV) of at least 21 cal/cm².

8. FR Insulated Zip-Up Hooded Sweatshirt
8.1 Material
All materials used shall meet NFPA 70E standard, latest revision. All thread used shall be FR rated. All closures, zippers, tapes, draw cords, snaps and buttons used shall be FR rated and arc-resistant. Material shall be water and wind resistant and maximize warmth.
8.2 Construction
Insulated Zip-Up Hooded Sweatshirts shall be lined, have a full-zip, with an oversized hood designed to fit over a hardhat.
8.3 Ratings
Insulated Zip-Up Hooded Sweatshirts shall have a minimum rating of HRC-4 and an Arc Thermal Performance Value (ATPV) of at least 44 cal/cm².
