1003034.1 Flame-Resistant (FR) Shirts

1. Scope

This material standard covers the general requirements for manufacturing and supplying all of the District's Flame-Resistant (FR) shirts.

2. Reference Standards

Where applicable and unless otherwise stated in this specification, garments shall comply with the latest revision of District Material Standard FRCLOTHMAT.

3. FR Long-Sleeve Shirt

3.1 Material

All materials used shall meet NFPA 70E standard, latest revision. All thread used shall be FR rated. All closures, zippers, tapes, draw cords, snaps and buttons used shall be FR rated and arc-resistant.

3.2 Construction

Long-Sleeve Shirts shall have ribbed collars and cuffs.

3.3 Ratings

Long-Sleeve Shirts shall have a minimum rating of HRC-2 and an Arc Thermal Performance Value (ATPV) of at least 8 cal/cm².

3.4 District Material Identification Numbers

4. FR Button-Up Shirt

4.1 Material

All materials used shall meet NFPA 70E standard, latest revision. All thread used shall be FR rated. All closures, zippers, tapes, draw cords, snaps and buttons used shall be FR rated and arc-resistant.

4.2 Construction

Collar shall be button down with button closure. Button-Up Shirts shall have extended sleeve plackets with 2-button adjustable cuffs.

4.3 Ratings

Button-Up Shirts shall have a minimum rating of HRC-2 and an Arc Thermal Performance Value (ATPV) of at least 8 cal/cm².
