1. Scope

This specification covers the requirements for a Meter Reader vest as shown above.
This is an evolving document and may change at any time.

2. Reference Standards

Unless otherwise stated in this specification, the vest shall comply with the latest revision of the following standard:
ANSI/ISEA 107 American National Standard for High-Visibility Safety Apparel

3. Material

Vest shall be in compliance with all requirements of ANSI/ISEA 107-2004 Conspicuity Class 2 garment.
Vest shall be 100% Polyester fabric orange in color. Vest shall have two each Vertical and two each 360° Horizontal 2” wide Avery Dennison omni bright yellow reflective stripes as shown above.

4. Detail

Vest shall have a zipper front closure. Vest shall have outside left chest mic tab. Vest shall have two lower front outside pockets with zipper closures (one left side and one right side), one inside lower left patch pocket and one outside right chest 2-tier 3-division pencil pocket.

Vest shall have “PUD” silk-screened in black on the outside upper left breast area with 1” tall lettering. Vest shall have the "PUD METER READER" silk-screened in black on the rear of the vest in three lines. The first line "PUD" shall have 4" tall lettering. The second line "METER" shall have 2" tall lettering. The third line "READER" shall have 2" tall lettering. All lettering on the back of the vest shall be centered between the vertical striping and located on the upper portion of the back.

5. Durability / Labeling

Vest shall have a sewn-in label(s) indicating vest size, ANSI/ISEA 107-2004 Conspicuity Class 2 compliance and ANSI/ISEA 107-2004 Section 10 Care Labeling.

6. Packaging

Each vest shall be individually packaged in a clear plastic bag with size labeling shown for shipping and storage.
