1. Scope

This specification covers the requirements for a Flagging vest as shown above.
This is an evolving document and may change at any time.

2. Reference Standards

Unless otherwise stated in this specification, the vest shall comply with the latest revision of the following standard:ANSI/ISEA 107 American National Standard for High-Visibility Safety Apparel

3. Material

Vest shall be in compliance with all requirements of ANSI/ISEA 107-2004 Conspicuity Class 3 garment.

Vest shall be fluorescent yellow-green 100% Polyester mesh background material with 2” vertical and horizontal Orange Retroreflective Fluorescent Bands as shown on front and rear of vest. Vest shall have an Orange colored bias tape band around the bottom and from the bottom of one side of the front opening of the vest around the neck to the bottom of the other side of the front opening. Vest shall have a Velcro closure at least 4" in length and located from the bottom of the vertical retroreflective band upward towards the neckline.

4. Detail

Vest shall have approximately 6”-10” sleeves with a 2” Orange Retroreflective Fluorescent Band around each sleeve as shown.

Vest shall have two 4” W X 6” H outside breast pockets. Left breast pocket shall also have a pencil pocket sewn to the outside of the breast pocket. Vest shall have two 8” W X 6” H lower outside pockets with flaps and two 9” W X 8-1/2” H inside patch pockets

Vest shall have the “PUD” silk-screened in black on the outside left breast area with 1” tall lettering located approximately 3" above the pocket to the center of the lettering. Vest shall have "PUD" silk-screened in black on the rear of the vest with 4" tall lettering centered between the vertical striping.

Exception: Size medium vest, Cat. ID No. 1001968, will not be required to have the 4" lettering on the back.

5. Durability / labeling

Vest shall have a sewn-in label(s) indicating vest size, ANSI/ISEA 107-2004 Conspicuity Class 3 and Section 10 Care Labeling.

6. Packaging

Each vest shall be individually packaged in a clear plastic bag with size labeling shown for shipping and storage.

7. Material ID Numbers

This specification applies to the following District Material ID Numbers: 1000923, 1000924, 1000925, 1000926, 1001236, 1001530 and 1001968.
