Notes:
- Connect concentric neutrals for all three splices with a single piece of 4/0 SD Cu wire. Connect 4/0 Cu wire to 500 kcmil Al neutral wire with a wedge connector and gel cover (see Compatible Unit Z1503).
- The District's 15kV splice kit MID 777485 accommodates cable sizes in the range of 750 - 1000 kcmil compressed strand, 1100 kcmil compact strand and insulation thicknesses in the range of 175 - 220 mils.
- With the addition of a 1000 to 750 kcmil reducing compression sleeve (MID 1001479), this Compatible Unit can also be used to splice 1100 kcmil concentric neutral power cable to 750 kcmil drain wire shielded power cable. Return the unused 1000 kcmil Al compression sleeve to stock under MID 777732.
