Notes:
- This vault is typically used for 1Ø commercial pad-mounted transformer installations, 167kVA and below and for combination 1Ø pad-mounted transformer/J-box installations in UG plats.
- When using this vault for a combination transformer/J-box installation the number of J-boxes shall be limited to 1 or 2. Three-phase J-box installations require setting separate vaults for the transformer (e.g., V0301 for 1Ø pad-mounts) and J-boxes (V0203).
- When installing J-boxes in this vault they need to be mounted such that they can be operated without interference from the transformer or diamond plate door. To accomplish this, one J-box should be installed on the vault wall below the hinged side of the diamond plate door. If a second J-box is to be installed, it should be mounted on a J-box suspension rack (R0244) so the elbows can be accessed without having to reach over or around the transformer.
