Notes:
- High voltage filler compound is for use in compression deadends and sleeves. These fittings are commonly used in the District's transmission system. As the compression is made the filler compound is forced around the strands and thereby sealing out air and moisture.
- Application of filler compound in compression sleeves is addressed in T&D Guidelines 4-10-5.0 and 4-10-6.0.
- The District purchases filler compound in a standard 1 lb caulking tube with an integral nozzle for use in a skeleton type caulking gun.
