Notes:
- Sealant is track resistant for environmentally sealing each end of a high voltage bus being insulated with heatshrinkable tape or tubing.
- Heat shrinkable tape is for use on straight or bent bus bars where tubing cannot be used, or to insulate unusual connections or geometries. Wrap using a two-thirds overlap.
- Heat shrinkable tubing is for use on straight or bent bus bars where at least one end is accessible. Bolted connections require two layers of tubing.
- Allowable thickness range for rectangular bus is 1/4" - 5/8" when insulating with heatshrinkable tubing.
