- Transformers installed in customer owned buildings must be placed on vibration dampening pads to isolate the building from transformer vibration and noise.
- For maximum effectiveness, vibration dampening pads should be loaded to approximately 50 psi. The appropriate numbers of pads for a given transformer weight can be calculated by:
Round N up or down to the closest even whole number. - Refer to Construction Standard 4-13-2.0 for distribution transformer weights.
