- Cable racks are designed for vertical mounting to interior walls (typically vault walls) using two 1/2” anchor bolts (Compatible Unit R0168). They can also be mounted to unistrut type channel using a 1/2” captive unistrut nut (MID 761082), 1/2” x 1” SS hex-head bolt (MID 103325) and 1/2” SS flat washer (MID 191627) on each end.
- One locking clip (R0166) is required to secure each cable rack hook to the cable rack.
- Cables should be secured to cable rack hooks using 20" heavy duty plastic cable ties (R0169). Smaller, single cables, such as #2 or 1/0, can be secured using 11-3/4" plastic cable ties (R0170).
- The 15” and 30” cable racks, illustrated in Fig. 1, have an offset lower mounting tab. This tab fits into the top of the adjoining rack to enable increasing the overall length of the rack.
- The cable hook support holes in the cable racks are spaced on 1-1/2” centers.
- Refer to Compatible Unit page R0140 - R0147 for porcelain cable clamps and associated mounting accessories. Porcelain cable clamps are typically used at the District for such applications as maintenance replacement of similar clamps, for vertical cable support on walls and for suspending cable from ceilings.
