Notes:
- Refer to T&D Guideline 4-5-18.0 for usage recommendations and setting instructions.
- The above ground portion of the guard post has a 52" OSHA highway yellow polyethylene (PE) cover over it, see MID 1002162. The cover should be installed so that its bottom end is approximately 10" below grade surface.
- Use of the yellow guard post cover is preferred, especially in commercial and high traffic applications. However, a hunter green guard post cover is also available, see MID 1003688. The green cover is intended for use primarily in residential applications, such as to cover guard posts protecting a padmounted transformer set close to a driveway, where homeowners object to bright yellow posts installed in their yards.
