- Corrugated flexible PVC conduit (corflex) is gray in color and is packaged in quantities of 250 ft. It should be specified in units of feet.
- Corflex is sized to accept the same plugs, couplings and bell end fittings as the District’s rigid PVC conduit. Couplings and bell end fittings should be applied to corflex using the District’s standard PVC cement.
- Because of its comparatively high cost, corflex is intended for use only in limited applications. Typical applications include confined or congested areas where working space is limited or situations involving abrupt changes in direction or elevation where use of rigid PVC conduit and bends is considered impractical. Corflex is not intended as a replacement for rigid PVC conduit for standard straight line installations.
- Keep bends as gradual as possible to assure ease of cable pull-in after duct installation.
- All commonly used vacuum, pressure and mechanical rodding systems can be used to rod corflex.
