- The District's primary application for BonDuit® is for joining HDPE pipe to PVC couplings, such as at the ends of directional bores made with HDPE pipe. BonDuit® is not designed for high stress pulls.
- In addition to polyethylene and PVC, BonDuit® also adheres to fiberglass, steel, aluminum and concrete. Contact Standards re. BonDuit®'s use in joining other materials.
- The working temperature for BonDuit® is 35°F to 95°F. BonDuit® creates a strong, long-lasting, airtight and watertight bond within 1 hr of application at 70°F. The set time increases as temperature decreases. Keep BonDuit® and PVC couplings warm before application for optimal performance. Joints made with BonDuit® can be placed into position once the connection is made. The adhesive will cure under ground or water.
- BonDuit®'s shelf life is 18 months.
